Privacy policy
COMPED is a UK-built Pokémon card pricing app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
Who we are
COMPED (comped.co.uk) is operated from the United Kingdom and is the data controller for personal data processed through the app. For any privacy request, contact us via the contact page.
What we collect
- Account data. Email address and sign-in identifiers when you create an account. Passwordless codes and OAuth identifiers are handled by our authentication provider.
- App content you create. Collection, portfolio, wishlist, binder, buy-in and inventory records, plus price corrections you submit to the Price Trainer.
- Usage data. Pages viewed, searches run, a random visitor identifier, referrer, and coarse device type. We use this to fix bugs and prioritise features.
- Payment data. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store the subscription status and identifiers, never your card details.
Why we process it
- To provide the app and keep your collection and vendor data available to you (contract).
- To improve pricing accuracy, including community-verified price input (legitimate interests).
- To secure the service and prevent abuse (legitimate interests).
- To show advertising and measure it, where you have consented (consent).
Advertising and analytics
Some public pages carry advertising supplied by third parties, including Google. Advertising partners may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure and, with your consent, to personalise ads. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the consent banner and change your mind at any time — see cookies and ads. Google's use of advertising cookies is described in its own advertising policies at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Who we share data with
We use processors to run the service: our hosting and database provider, our email sender, Stripe for payments, and market-data sources such as eBay for pricing evidence. We do not sell your personal data.
Retention and your rights
Account and collection data is kept while your account exists, and deleted on request. Usage data is retained in aggregate. Under UK GDPR you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent for advertising cookies at any time. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Children
COMPED is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
